At the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM), we’re committed to amplifying the voices that advocate for Texas independence and state sovereignty. We welcome your thoughtful, well-researched op-eds that align with our mission of promoting TEXIT and resisting federal overreach. Here’s how you can contribute to the conversation and share your perspective with our readers.

Submission Guidelines

   Topic Focus

   • All op-eds must center on topics related to Texas independence, state sovereignty, the overreach of the Federal government, or other issues directly impacting Texas self-governance.
   • We are particularly interested in fresh perspectives on current Texas events, global independence movements, economic arguments for independence, and cultural reflections tied to Texas identity.

   Original Content

   • Your submission must be original and exclusive to The Texian Partisan. We don’t accept op-eds that have been published elsewhere or are under consideration elsewhere.

   Word Count

   • Submissions should be between 600 and 1,000 words.

   Tone and Style

   • Write with a confident, assertive tone in favor of Texas independence. Make your case directly and focus on solutions. You don’t need to give equal time to opposing views, but if you take one on, represent it fairly and accurately. Use active, direct sentences.
   • Ensure that your op-ed is conversational and accessible while maintaining the depth necessary for a well-informed audience. Political or legal terminology should be used appropriately to add credibility where needed.
   • Incorporate Texas-specific idioms or references sparingly to root your argument in Texan culture without overuse.

   Formatting

   • Use clear, concise paragraphs and subheadings where necessary to break up longer sections of text. Submissions should be free of formatting such as bullet points, lists, or hyperlinks.

   Citations

   • When citing statistics, legal cases, or historical references, include a brief in-text mention of your source. Ensure all references are from reputable sources, such as government reports, think tanks, or academic institutions.

   Author Bio

   • Include a short bio (50-100 words) with your submission. This should include your name, relevant background information, and any affiliations with Texas-based movements or organizations, if applicable.

   Review Process

   • The Texian Partisan may edit submissions for clarity, grammar and fit with these guidelines. Our editors will review your submission and contact you with revisions or a decision within two weeks.
