7 Years Of Honoring The Alamo Defenders

84 marches. 84 wreaths. 84 acts of honoring the sacrifice of the Alamo defenders.

Saturday, October 13, 2012, the Texas Nationalist Movement was proud to introduce the Alamo Memorial March to the people of San Antonio. This month marked the 7th anniversary of the march.

Instituted as a monthly memorial to the defenders of the Alamo, the Alamo Memorial March is a long-term commitment by the TNM to see that those who gave their lives at the “Shrine of Texas Liberty” are properly remembered. With our history and culture under attack everyday, the Texas Nationalist Movement made the decision to remind the people of Texas what the Alamo stands for, and what happened there.

Once a month, supporters and members of the TNM conduct a wreath laying ceremony at the Alamo and silently march around the perimeter. This brief but powerful statement is an expression of a core tenet of the TNM’s mission – secure and protect the cultural independence of Texas.

We’d like to thank all of those who have marched with us over the past 7 years to honor these heroes whose lives were willingly given to advance the banner of Texas independence. We’d also like to encourage more of you to step forward and commit with the TNM to march every month. It’s a small price to pay compared to that paid by the Alamo Defenders.
