Politicians tend to stay away from making statements, but Texas Congressman Chip Roy made a few good ones this week. Among them was a re-Tweet of a post by TNM leadership in favor of Texit as a response to the omnibus bill.
Texan Chip Roy spent the week railing against the Federal omnibus bill. While he was mostly fighting on principle not fighting for Texas per se, he did a fine job pointing out the failures of Congress: spending too much money, too fast, without time to even read the bill.
He then posted the following on his Twitter feed, a challenge to the Texas legislature to do a better job than the Federal:

In addition to the commentary above, he quoted a pro-Texit Tweet from TNM’s Nate Smith. Nate’s tweet included a flashing Texit gif.

Does Chip Roy support Texas independence? Only time will tell. We’ll definitely give him a seat at our table in the TNM. In the mean time, he’s one of the few Texas congressmen willing to stand up for Texas and our principles. Maybe he’ll stand for Texas independence as well.
