Sixteen Years in the Making, Texas Nationalist Movement Launches Its Education Site
TNM Education, the educational affiliate of the Texas Nationalist Movement, opened tnmeducation.org: research on the case of Texas, a free library of founding documents, civics guides and a weekly reading list.

The Texas Nationalist Movement first announced an education program in 2010. It took sixteen years, six attempts and two legal entities to build one. On October 13, Texas Nationalist Movement Education, Inc., known as TNM Education, launched tnmeducation.org, a free public site for the record of Texas.
“We first announced an education program in 2010, from a small classroom in our office in Nederland. We called it TNM University. Since then we’ve incorporated and closed a foundation, set up an online course system, drafted plans for an institute, and started an academy. That’s six attempts in sixteen years. Some were good ideas at the wrong time, and some were just wrong. TNM Education is the one that stuck, and it’s free to every Texan. The case of Texas is there, with every claim sourced, along with 65 documents from the record. Texas is a nation. Now the record has a home,” said Daniel Miller, president of the Texas Nationalist Movement.
Sixteen years of starts
TNM University was announced in 2010 at the opening of the movement’s office on Nederland Avenue in Nederland, a suite with “a small classroom and lecture space.” There is no later record of it running.
A first legal entity, the Texas Nationalist Movement Foundation Inc., was filed with the Texas secretary of state on December 10, 2020. It was set aside before it got off the ground. An online course system for members followed in 2021 and 2022. In 2023 the movement drafted plans for a webinar series and a research institute, and the institute never left the planning stage.
The online library at library.tnm.me and the TNM Academy came next. As recently as January 2026, the plan was to move that library behind the movement’s member app.
What is different now
This time the work has its own entity. TNM Education describes itself as “a separate Texas nonprofit corporation with our own board,” formed in 2024, and as the educational affiliate of the Texas Nationalist Movement. “We don’t endorse candidates or parties, and we never ask anyone to call a legislator about a bill,” the site says. “That is the Texas Nationalist Movement’s work, and it stays there.”
It has its own site, and new work on it. The Case of Texas is a series of 7 research pieces on whether Texas is a nation, whether Texans have the right to decide, and whether Texas could stand on its own, and the site says every claim in them is sourced. The Library holds 65 documents and works, among them the Texas Declaration of Independence and William Barret Travis’s letters from the Alamo. The site also offers 7 guides to Texas government and to teaching Texas history, and a Reading List that sends one document a week by email.
The library that the movement had planned to make members-only is now free to every Texan, and the old library.tnm.me address redirects to it.
Miller said every educational piece and program the movement has put in place over the years will move to the new site.
