ACTION ALERT: Send Bush A Message He Can’t Ignore

Land Commissioner George P. Bush exposed his continued contempt for Texas voters who are concerned about the Alamo. Go on-the-record and help protect our historical monuments.

David Thomas Roberts, author and member of the TNM’s Advisory Board, arranged a meeting with George P. Bush and other citizens from around Texas to discuss concerns over the Alamo. Virtually all of the participants in the meeting would be driving over 4 hours for this meeting for a detailed discussion on all of the “red flags” surrounding the current plan to Reimagine The Alamo.

In a show of his ongoing contempt for Texans who have legitimate concerns about the Alamo and complete disrespect for Texas voters as a whole, this morning Roberts received a call from George P. Bush’s office stating the Bush had cut the meeting down to a mere 15 minutes. This only reinforces the message that Bush sends to everyone who expresses concern about the Alamo – “I don’t want to hear you.”

While there is little hope that Bush will ever see the light, it’s time for everyone who loves the Alamo to go on-the-record. While Bush may be deaf on the Alamo, the public record is not. Every call that Alamo supporters make is part of the public record and will help with ongoing legislative efforts to protect the Alamo, the Alamo Cenotaph, and all historical monuments in Texas.

Call George P. Bush NOW at (512) 270-3196 and let him know that the Alamo is worth more than a measly 15 minutes.

*UPDATE* – Many callers are reporting that Bush’s office is denying that a meeting was even planned. This is not true. Yet again, much like he did with all of the Alamo issues, the official position of Bush’s GLO is DENY EVERYTHING. The organizer of the meeting has offered this statement to counter Bush’s denials. “Call Trent Williams on Representative Steve Toth’s staff. He talked to the GLO multiple times to lock down this meeting.”
