This Month @ The TNM: June 2026
Host Will Kacy on the Republican Party of Texas state convention, and how members who take part can make it count for a Texas vote.
Host Will Kacy breaks down the Republican Party of Texas state convention, the largest gathering of its kind in the country.
It is where the party writes its platform, sets its rules and legislative priorities, and elects its leadership, all of it flowing up from the precinct and county conventions. The question of whether Texans get a vote on independence is not a Republican or a Democratic issue, Kacy is careful to say. It is a Texas issue. But because so many members take part in the Republican process, he lays out how to make that participation count.
