Law expert gives Texas vs. White a “D”

International law expert Dr. Matt Qvortrup spoke with Daniel Miller and the TNM about a common point thrown out by the Texit opposition: What about the case of Texas vs. White?

Texas vs. White does in fact say that “states can’t secede.” We’ve addressed that fallacy for years, most recently here at the Texian Partisan. The mainstream nay-sayers continue to drag out academics who googled Texas vs. White and proclaim that it’s still binding. Well, here’s some analysis from Dr. Matt Qvortrup, author of “I Want To Break Free: A practical guide to making a new country.”

If Salmon Chase wrote the Texas vs. White case for Dr. Qvortup’s class, the best he’d get would be a D.
