Walker County Launches Official TNM County Group with Kickoff Event

The Texas Nationalist Movement is proud to announce the official launch of its county group in Walker County, marking another significant step forward in our mission to secure Texas independence. This launch represents the continued growth of our grassroots network across the Lone Star State following the recent reorganization of TNM’s local presence.

With over 60 counties now organizing across Texas, Walker County joins the ranks of committed Texians building a solid foundation for local advocacy and action. The people of Walker County—home to Sam Houston State University and named for Samuel Hamilton Walker, a Texas Ranger who embodied the fighting spirit of Texas independence—are answering the call to reclaim Texas sovereignty.

The Walker County leadership team, comprised of dedicated patriots who understand that freedom isn’t free and independence isn’t given, includes:

  • Ron Smith – County Coordinator
  • Mitch Kovalcik – Deputy Coordinator
  • Tomalea Bench – Outreach and Engagement Coordinator
  • Michael “Mike” Kovalcik – Events and Logistics Coordinator
  • Thomas Oleinik – Volunteer Coordinator
  • Tammy Blackwell – Communications Coordinator
  • Helen Musselwhite – Finance and Fundraising Coordinator

Launch Event Details

The Walker County TNM group will host its inaugural TEXIT Dinner Meetup on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at McKenzie’s Bar B Que, located at 1548 11th St #101, Huntsville, TX 77340. This event, organized by Tomalea Bench, will bring together local TEXIT supporters in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss advancing the cause of Texas independence.

Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement, will deliver a keynote address outlining how supporters can transform their passion for Texas independence into concrete action in Walker County. Texas Casual attire is encouraged, and attendees are asked to support the venue by ordering from their menu.

Be Part of the Momentum

The establishment of the Walker County group represents another brick in the foundation of a free and independent Texas. The Federal Government continues to burden Texans with mountains of regulations and mountains of debt, and the time for sitting on the sidelines has passed. Much like the Texians at Gonzales who refused to surrender their cannon, we must stand firm in our resolve.

To RSVP and secure your spot at the dinner meetup, visit the official event page. For more information about the Walker County group and ongoing efforts, check out their county page.

Your voice matters, and your participation is essential. The Federal Government won’t relinquish its grip on Texas willingly—change will come only through the unified efforts of Texans committed to self-determination. Join us in Huntsville on April 24th and take your place in the movement that will secure TEXIT and restore true self-government to the people of Texas.
