Texas First. Texas Forever.

TNM Names Mack Dunkin Director of Political Engagement

The Texas Nationalist Movement has named Mack Dunkin its Director of Political Engagement, a new seat on the organization’s leadership team.

Dunkin, a full-time pastor from East Texas, has led the Texas First Pledge program as a volunteer and now oversees it as the core of a broader political portfolio.

In the role, Dunkin is responsible for the Texas First Pledge and for TNM’s relationships with the candidates and officeholders who have signed it. His portfolio covers the movement’s political engagement below the state Capitol, including recruiting new pledge signers and tracking their performance once in office.

The Texas First Pledge asks those who seek office to make a public commitment: to put the interests of Texas and Texans first and, where it falls within the power of their office, to work for a vote of the people on Texas reasserting its independence. TNM regards the pledge as its principal means of turning political commitments into a binding referendum.

Dunkin came to the role having already worked to build the program he now directs. The appointment gives TNM’s political operation a dedicated leader as the movement works to put Texas independence before the voters.
