The Texas Nationalist Movement hosted a “The TEXIT Blueprint” seminar on July 27th at the historic Texan Theatre in Greenville, Texas. This day-long event provided an in-depth exploration of Texas’ journey toward independence and attracted a diverse crowd, including a German documentary crew interested in capturing the movement’s momentum.

Event Highlights

The seminar kicked off with an introduction by incoming State Representative Brent Money, who provided a detailed review of the book TEXIT: Why and How Texas Will Leave The Union. His presentation set the stage for a comprehensive discussion on the stages of the TEXIT process.

In-Depth Exploration of TEXIT

The seminar was divided into five segments, each addressing critical components of the TEXIT process:

  1. Understanding TEXIT and the Vision for Post-TEXIT Texas: Clarified the motivations behind TEXIT and presented a vision for an independent Texas.
  2. Building Capacity: Focused on strategies to mobilize grassroots support.
  3. Getting a TEXIT Vote: Outlined the steps necessary to secure a referendum.
  4. Winning a TEXIT Vote: Discussed strategies for voter engagement and addressing opposition.
  5. Securing TEXIT: Covered post-vote economic planning, national security, and international relations.

The event also featured a screening of a Brexit-related movie, drawing parallels between the UK’s exit from the EU and Texas’ path to independence.

Expanding the Blueprint

Following the success of this seminar, TNM plans to bring “The TEXIT Blueprint” to other cities across Texas, ensuring more Texans are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to contribute to the movement effectively.

Stay tuned to TNM News for updates on future seminars and opportunities to get involved in shaping Texas’ future.

Brent Money told the Greenville audience that a year earlier he’d have counted himself among the skeptics in the room. An attorney by trade, he said the right of self-government was never his obstacle. His question was how, and the book answered it.

He read it in Europe and said a stop at the Palace of Versailles drove home that government power rests on the consent of the governed. Money noted that Texas joined the union over worries about securing its border and paying its debts, and argued the federal government now fails Texas on both counts while preventing the state from securing the border itself.

He praised the book’s point-by-point answers on trade, travel, currency, military bases and the federal debt, and its choice to leave post-independence policy questions open so the coalition doesn’t fracture. Money said he signed the pledge to vote in the Legislature to put the question to the people. Stopping federal overreach now tops his priorities, he said, because the states created the federal government and shouldn’t have to ask it for permission.
