  1. I’m an ardent secessionist, having been turned from being a naive ardent American patriot by the antics of Washington over the years. It might help our cause if correct semantics were employed in our efforts on behalf of TEXIT.

The Founding Fathers were educated men, versed in English. They chose to call the new political alliance “the United States of America” in the second Continental Congress on September 9, 1776. “State” is fungible with “country.” Totally, same – same. “State” does not imply or connote a subordinate status in any respect.

“Civil war” is defined as two political entities fighting for control of the government within the same country.
The war in America which began in 1861 was NOT a civil war; the Confederacy wanted no part of Washington, and furthermore, the various countries (“states” ) which seceded from the UNION did so totally legally, as much so as when Great Britain seceded from the European UNION. That move by Great Britain was never called by anyone an “insurrection,” Just a mere withdrawal from association..

It might help our cause if that were stressed .

    God bless Texas
