I have predicted for many years the coming dissolution of the United States and the reemergence of Texas as as independent nation. It is in the best interests of everyone if Texas goes its own way. The concept of Texas independence is not predicated on the collapse of the United States, but in the mind of many you cannot justify one without the other.
