Many of you remember or actually participated in the TNM’s previous effort to put a vote for independence on the Republican Party Primary ballot in 2015. You also will likely remember that we fell short of our goal. What most do not know is how close we came and the struggles that we faced as an organization to achieve what we achieved. The impacts of that campaign are still being felt to this day.
After the petition campaign was concluded, Executive Director Nate Smith held a special webinar, exclusively for our Certified Petition Circulators, announcing the end results of the petition. In that webinar he also did a deep dive into the numbers and directly addressed the challenges that were faced. No one else, other than CPCs, has seen that webinar until now.
