The other day, I was in a group chatting. We were talking about Texas Independence and all the groups out there that claim to be dedicated to that cause. There was a comment made about how “We all need to work together” and that “The TNM was the only group not willing to work with them.”
Quite honestly, I’m proud that the Texas Nationalist Movement carefully chooses who it associates with. The fact that they see the importance in this is one reason that I chose to join the TNM in the first place.
I do NOT want MY name, or the work that I personally do to help gain our Independence, attached to other groups for the very simple fact that I know how some of these groups came to be.
Organizations, clubs, groups or whatever they feel like calling themselves, that were started by lies, deception, thievery, being unethical, slander, harassment and downright blatant disregard for the law are, in my eyes, no better than the people who we are fighting to get away from!
I believe that the TNM is the only group that is capable of leading the march towards Texas independence. There are many other groups out there that do a great job in helping us carry the torch. I don’t mind working with them, but the Texas Nationalist Movement has never led me down the wrong path. I’ve never felt like anything they have asked me to do was illegal, unethical or deceptive, we make a point to follow the laws, we do not try to make up laws. No group has that right other than the citizens of Texas as a whole.
It angers me to hear of groups trying to do this. They hold no right to speak for myself or my family. I can manage that on my own.
Plus, for nearly 2 decades, the Texas Nationalist Movement has been the only organization known for its peaceful, law abiding ways and their sole dedication to achieving the political, cultural, and economic independence of Texas, which is another reason for the TNM to stay exclusive, and not join with every Tom, Dick and Harry that pops up yelling that they are for Texas Independence when they don’t even understand the basic concepts of liberty.
We have a good reputation to uphold and we do not need it tarnished with the names of others that do not adhere to the same values, ethics and integrity that we hold so dear!
So, let them talk their talk. It’s nothing but water off a duck’s back to me. I know the truth and I will do what I know is right.
With that being said, I’d like to re-affirm my Texas Nationalist’s Leaders Oath; “I will honor the spirit of fortitude, perseverance and sacrifice of the Alamo Defenders in my actions as a Texas Nationalist. I will honor the spirit of independence of our Founding Fathers. I will exemplify the diligence of the men who won at San Jacinto. And in doing these things, I will be personally responsible for our victory.”
