The following is an official statement from Daniel Miller, President of the Texas Nationalist Movement on today’s SCOTUS decision to block deportation of foreign violent criminal gang members.
The Supreme Court’s decision to block the deportation of Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act represents another dangerous failure of the Federal system to protect Texans. In a 7-2 ruling, the Court has once again prioritized legal technicalities over the safety and security of our people, with only Justices Alito and Thomas standing firm for common sense and the protection of our communities.
Make no mistake – this is not a discussion about immigration policy. This is about allowing violent criminals from the Tren de Aragua gang to remain in Texas, where they can continue to terrorize our communities. While the Court deliberates and federal politicians posture, Texans are left vulnerable to the predations of these criminals.
The Federal Government has been wildly inconsistent with its immigration policies and indecisive with its border policy. They have allowed these gang members to enter Texas in the first place, failed to stop them from establishing operations, and now prevented their removal. The message is clear: Washington will not protect Texas.
This ruling demonstrates what we’ve long known – the Federal system is not designed to address the unique security challenges Texas faces.
An independent Texas would not be hamstrung by a detached Federal judiciary. We would be free to enact and enforce our own laws to protect our people without federal intervention. We could deport dangerous criminals without needing permission from Washington. This isn’t just about securing our border – it’s about securing our future.
The Texas Nationalist Movement recognizes the real threat these criminals pose. We further, and more importantly, recognize the threat the federal government poses to the sovereignty and security of Texas. We call on all Texans who value safety and self-determination to join us in our push for Texas independence. The path to a secure Texas doesn’t run through Washington – it runs through TEXIT.
