The Abbeville Institute has posted the video of Daniel Miller’s keynote from their March 2026 conference in Montgomery, “The Declaration and Decentralization.” The talk is titled “Taking the Declaration at Its Word and Scaring the Hell Out of the Political Establishment.”
The argument runs about an hour. The short version is that the Declaration of Independence is not a historical artifact. It is an operating system. When you run it, it works.
That is what scares the political establishment about TEXIT. Read the founding documents, conclude that the founders meant what they said, and a great deal of what holds Washington together stops making sense.
Abbeville takes the American constitutional tradition seriously. TNM puts it into practice. The 250th anniversary of the Declaration is a few months away. The country is about to spend a year talking about the right of a people to alter or abolish a government that no longer serves them. We have been building toward that conversation for thirty years.
Watch the keynote below. The full text ran on the Texian Partisan back in March.
