In this episode of the Texas News Podcast, we’re joined by Jason Fry, 5th generation Texan, knifemaker, and author of National Divorce: A Plan for Peace.
Jason talks with host Daniel Miller about his journey from the world of bladesmithing to writing a groundbreaking book that links modern secessionist movements with the growing “National Divorce” rhetoric. Together, they discuss Texas independence, the escalating national divide, and how peaceful solutions like secession can prevent unnecessary conflict. With two sons in the military, Jason brings a unique perspective on the urgency of addressing these issues before political tensions spiral out of control. If you’re curious about how secession could bring about peace, or want to learn more about the Texas Nationalist Movement’s vision for an independent Texas, this episode is a must-watch!

Great interview. I share the same shall we say “religious background” as Jason. There is a command given “”Shepherd the flock of God which is among you” 1 Peter 5:2. Local governance is best. If one group falls away from their constitutional republic, it does not affect another group living out their constitutional republic.
