Texas First. Texas Forever.

TNM Leadership Backs David Lowe Campaign Kickoff in Watauga

Texas Nationalist Movement executive team members Nate Smith and Daphne Armour attended the campaign kickoff event for David Lowe, Texas State Representative for House District 91, on October 30, 2025, in Watauga, Texas. The event drew more than 200 Texans to celebrate Lowe’s conservative voting record and his commitment to advancing Texas sovereignty through the Texas First Pledge.

The presence of TNM leadership at the kickoff demonstrates the organization’s strategic focus on supporting elected officials who have committed to putting Texas interests first. Lowe, who successfully challenged incumbent Stephanie Klick in 2024, has signed the Texas First Pledge and supports Texas having a vote on independence.

Texas First Coalition Building Momentum

The Watauga event showcased the growing network of Texas First Pledge signers building grassroots support across the state. Representative Lowe was joined by several other pledge signers, including Matt Thorsen, candidate for Texas House District 67, and Jeffrey Forrester, candidate for Texas House District 89.

The event was emceed by JoAnn Fleming, President and Executive Director of Grassroots America We The People, whose organization has endorsed Lowe’s campaign. Former State Senator and Texas First Pledge signer Don Huffines, who is running for Texas Comptroller, spoke at the event and offered his support for Lowe’s continued service.

Additional support came from Leigh Wambsganss, candidate for Texas Senate, and Representative Mike Olcott, demonstrating the broad coalition backing Lowe’s legislative efforts. The gathering reflected the expanding influence of the Texas sovereignty movement within Republican politics across North Texas.

TNM’s Electoral Strategy in Action

The attendance of TNM Executive Vice President Nate Smith and Chief of Staff Daphne Armour at the kickoff represents the organization’s commitment to supporting candidates who have formally committed to Texas-first principles. Lowe’s Texas First Pledge profile highlights his dedication to defending Texas sovereignty and supporting legislation that advances Texas independence.

Representative Lowe, a combat veteran and small business owner from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has established himself as a reliable conservative voice in the Texas House since taking office in January 2025. His victory over longtime incumbent Stephanie Klick in the 2024 Republican primary demonstrated grassroots conservative voters’ desire for representatives committed to Texas-first principles.

The campaign kickoff event reflects TNM’s broader strategy of building political infrastructure to support candidates committed to Texas sovereignty. By attending local campaign events and providing organizational support, TNM leadership helps strengthen the network of elected officials willing to advance the cause of Texas independence.

Growing Texas First Movement

Lowe joins ten elected Texas legislators who signed the Texas First Pledge, representing a significant presence of sovereignty-minded representatives in the current legislative session. The presence of multiple pledge signers at the Watauga event demonstrates the movement’s expanding reach across competitive Texas House districts.

The Texas First Pledge represents a formal commitment by candidates to prioritize Texas sovereignty and the interests of Texans over federal mandates. By signing this pledge, candidates commit to defending Texas’s right to self-determination and opposing unconstitutional federal overreach.

Signers of the Texas First Pledge commit to putting Texas interests ahead of party politics or federal pressure, defending the Texas Constitution and state sovereignty, supporting legislation that advances Texas independence, voting against federal mandates that violate the 10th Amendment, and standing with Texans who believe in self-determination.

The October 30 event in Watauga demonstrates how TNM’s grassroots organizing strategy is creating real political momentum for Texas sovereignty. By supporting candidates like Lowe who have proven their commitment through both pledge signing and legislative action, the organization is building the foundation for advancing Texas independence through the electoral process.
