This Month @ The TNM: May 2024
Host Will Kacy on the Texas Military Department, its long history, and its role as Texas steps in where Washington falls short.
Host Will Kacy looks at the Texas Military Department, the state agency drawing attention as it is called on to cover for Washington’s failures at the border.
He traces its history from the earliest days of the Republic of Texas through the modern Texas National Guard, Army and Air, and the Texas State Guard, the volunteer force that backs them up in emergencies. It is a reminder that Texas has kept forces of its own for a very long time.
