Host Will Kacy reports that the Texas Independence Referendum Act has been filed and moved to the State Affairs Committee, with the debate all over the media, some supportive and some, in his words, scared that Texans might actually get a say in their future.
It is a standard bill running a standard path, he says, filed, scheduled, debated. He lays out how members can keep it moving: calling the committee members and their own representatives, downloading and reading the bill, and using the TNM’s contact tools and sample letters to push for a public hearing before it dies quietly in committee.
