The night turned on the lesson of San Jacinto. Miller read Sam Houston’s address to the army on the eve of battle. Conquer or perish. No aid is at hand. Act now or abandon all hope. He paired it with a hard statistic. Roughly sixty percent of the men who first volunteered for the Texian army never served through to San Jacinto. They signed up, their passion burned bright, and the moment things got hard they went home to tend the farm. Houston still won because he built enough critical mass to move disciplined people to a single decisive action. That, Miller argued, is the whole game. All political power is inherent in the people, and the work is getting enough of them to move the same way at the same time. He also noted that Texans can fire off bottle rockets on San Jacinto Day and Texas Independence Day because the TNM drafted and passed the legislation that made it legal.

Instead of a busing program he says the TNM proposed twelve years ago, Miller wants the governor to declare an invasion under Article 4, Section 7, call up the entire Texas Military Department, shift billions to a fully militarized State Guard, and reopen enlistment to combat veterans. He also tracked the election integrity task force, the federal match-funding trap behind the Texas tax burden, the case against Texas v. White, and why he refuses to call it anything but the right to keep and bear arms.
