Cutting Out the Middleman: The TNM Builds Its Own Network and the Media Starts to Sweat

Daniel Miller opened this Late Night Coffee Talk with the announcement he says had been on his bucket list for years. On July 4th the Texas Nationalist Movement will launch its own internal social network and a dedicated mobile app, built exclusively for registered supporters. The point, he argued, is to kill the man in the middle. For years the organization has fought to reach its own people through email lists and social platforms, only to watch messages land in spam folders, notifications go unsent, and posts get buried or shadow-banned. The new platform routes around all of it: push notifications straight to a supporter’s phone, one-touch click-to-call buttons for your state senator and representative, local and affinity groups you can join immediately, private messaging, a searchable database of TEXIT answers, and the TNM Academy and TNMTV built right in.

He framed it as a tectonic shift rather than a feature update, and tied it directly to the work ahead. Picture the second week of November, he said, when bill pre-filing opens for the legislative session: instead of hunting down phone numbers, supporters get a notification with their representative and a link, and act in one tap. Access is gated to registered supporters, so he pushed viewers to go log in at the website, reset passwords, and make sure their addresses are current so the system can connect them with the local group nearest them.

Then came the media week. Miller recounted a long conversation with Bud Kennedy of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, in which he says he answered the usual Texas v. White objection by raising Jacobson v. Massachusetts, a later Supreme Court case, and left the reporter genuinely stunned. No article ran. Instead the paper reshared a year-old piece calling TEXIT a scam. To Miller that silence is a tell that the other side is in trouble. He also played a hostile voicemail calling supporters “Russian stooges” and demanding treason prosecutions, using it to make his point: the louder the opposition gets, the more it signals the movement is winning, and the answer is to do more, not less.

  2. What percentage of Texans currently support TEXIT, and how confident is the movement that a referendum would pass?
  3. How does someone actually get the TNM booked on major programs like Joe Rogan or The Daily Wire?
  4. Will Daniel Miller run for public office again after the lieutenant governor race?
  5. Do the Supreme Court’s recent decisions returning power to the states actually hurt the case for independence?
  6. Why was Texas independence left off the Texas GOP’s eight legislative priorities despite strong convention support?
