TNM Executive Vice President Speaks at Austin Privacy Meetup

Texas Nationalist Movement Executive Vice President Nate Smith will deliver remarks at the WebWipe Austin privacy meetup Saturday evening, connecting digital privacy advocacy with Texas sovereignty principles.

The event, scheduled for November 1st from 6-10 pm at Indra’s Awarehouse on FM 969, will feature discussions on Bitcoin privacy, Monero, and other digital privacy tools. Smith’s participation represents TNM’s expanding engagement with privacy-focused communities across Texas.

According to the event listing, attendees will explore topics including Bitcoin coinjoins, decentralized exchanges, privacy on Ethereum with zero-knowledge proofs, encrypted communications, and VPN technologies. The meetup will also feature a local food truck and networking opportunities for privacy advocates.

Smith has served as TNM Executive Vice President since 2009 and has been a prominent voice for Texas independence. He recently testified at the Texas GOP State Convention on the Texas Independence Referendum Act and has trained hundreds of petition circulators for the organization.

The privacy meetup aligns with TNM’s broader advocacy for Texas sovereignty and resistance to federal overreach. Digital privacy concerns have become increasingly important to Texas independence supporters who view federal surveillance capabilities as threats to state autonomy and individual liberty.

TNM has grown into the largest organization promoting Texas independence over its two-decade history. The movement has consistently emphasized peaceful, legal pathways to independence through referendum and legislative action.

WebWipe organizers describe the event as bringing together privacy advocates to discuss tools for protecting digital communications and financial transactions. Topics will include swap services, privacy wallets like Edge and Cake, mixnet technologies, and encrypted messaging platforms.

The Austin location reflects TNM’s strategic focus on the state capital, where political decisions affecting Texas sovereignty are made. Smith’s appearance at the privacy-focused event demonstrates the organization’s efforts to build coalitions with various liberty-minded groups across Texas.

Privacy advocates attending the meetup will have the opportunity to learn about TNM’s independence advocacy while exploring digital tools for protecting personal information from government surveillance. The event represents a convergence of technological privacy concerns with political sovereignty movements.

Registration for the WebWipe Austin privacy meetup is available through the event platform. The venue is located at 7904 FM 969 in Austin, with presentations and discussions scheduled throughout the four-hour event.

Smith’s participation continues TNM’s pattern of engaging diverse audiences across Texas to build support for independence. The organization has consistently emphasized that Texas sovereignty requires broad-based support from various communities and interest groups.

The privacy meetup occurs as digital rights and government surveillance have become increasingly prominent issues in Texas politics. State officials have expressed concerns about federal agencies’ data collection capabilities and their impact on Texan privacy rights.

TNM supporters interested in attending can find additional information about the organization’s upcoming events on the TNM website. The privacy meetup represents one of several community engagement efforts planned for November.
