Texas First. Texas Forever.

TNM Adds Five New County Organizers Statewide

The Texas Nationalist Movement announced five new County Organizers joining the organization’s grassroots expansion efforts across Texas, bringing the total number of counties with dedicated organizers to ten.

David Breunig, TNM’s Director of Organizational Development, announced that Lee Ann McComas in Nacogdoches County, Eric Spaude in Smith County, John Ruiz in Tarrant County, Caleb Glick in Parker County, and Belynda Verges in Caldwell County have joined the County Organizer program.

Strategic Geographic Expansion

The new organizers represent significant geographic diversity across Texas. The appointments span from East Texas counties like Nacogdoches and Smith to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with Tarrant County, extending to Parker County in North Texas and Caldwell County in Central Texas.

These additions complement five previously announced County Organizers, creating a network of ten counties with dedicated leadership teams. According to recent reports, TNM is now active or organizing in over 60 of Texas’s 254 counties, representing approximately 78% of Texas voters.

County Organizer Role and Impact

County Organizers serve as frontline volunteers responsible for establishing, training, and supporting county groups to build leadership teams aligned with TNM’s mission to advance Texas independence. The role involves recruiting supporters, organizing local activities, and developing the infrastructure needed for successful grassroots mobilization.

The County Organizer program includes formal training courses with specific expectations and metrics, enabling counties to progress from organizing status to active, fully-staffed local groups. TNM has developed comprehensive support systems to help these organizers succeed in building sustainable local leadership.

Building Toward Independence

These appointments come as TNM continues expanding its grassroots infrastructure across Texas. The organization launched its first official county branch in Angelina County in February 2025, marking what the group described as a “major milestone” in its grassroots organizing efforts.

The County Organizer program represents TNM’s strategy to embed leadership at the local level, creating political pressure and organizational capacity for a Texas independence referendum. By establishing dedicated organizers in counties across various regions, TNM aims to demonstrate broad-based support for independence and build the necessary infrastructure for a successful referendum campaign.

Geographic Coverage and Growth

With these new appointments, TNM now has County Organizers covering counties from the Piney Woods of East Texas to the suburban communities surrounding the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The geographic spread includes:

  • East Texas: Nacogdoches and Smith counties
  • Dallas-Fort Worth area: Tarrant County
  • North Texas: Parker County
  • Central Texas: Caldwell County

This expansion beyond the three previously activated counties demonstrates TNM’s commitment to building statewide organizational capacity. The county organizing program serves as the foundation for TNM’s broader strategy to achieve Texas independence through grassroots mobilization and political action.

Next Steps for Local Organization

The newly appointed County Organizers will work to recruit local volunteers, establish regular meetings, and create action plans specific to their counties. They’ll receive ongoing support from TNM’s National Leadership Team and access to training resources designed to help them build effective local organizations.

Each County Organizer will focus on identifying and developing local leadership talent, organizing community events, and creating sustainable structures that can support long-term independence advocacy efforts in their respective counties.

The expansion brings TNM closer to its goal of establishing organized presence throughout Texas’s 254 counties. With membership and campaign infrastructure continuing to grow, these County Organizers represent the grassroots foundation necessary for advancing Texas independence through organized political action.

Texans interested in supporting independence efforts in their counties can register their support and connect with local organizers through TNM’s official channels.
